Frequently asked questions

Still have questions?

Our team is happy to answer any questions about Group Activities and how it can support you or your participant.

  • We offer a range of programs including social skills groups, life skills workshops, creative arts, fitness activities, cooking classes, and community outings. Programs vary by location — contact us to find out what is available near you.

  • Group sizes are kept small to ensure quality support and meaningful participation. Most groups have between 4 and 8 participants, with appropriate staff ratios based on participant needs.

  • Group activities are typically funded under the Core Supports — Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation budget. Group-based supports are often more cost-effective than 1:1 supports, allowing participants to access more hours from their plan.

  • Absolutely. We encourage participants to attend a trial session to see if the group is a good fit before entering into a service agreement.
